A Jet2 Boeing 737 800 operating flight LS1310 from Venice left the paved surface at Birmingham Airport on 25 October 2026 after landing in strong crosswinds linked to Storm Boelo.
The aircraft touched down on runway 33 but was then pushed left by high gusts, veering off the runway and onto grass. The crew corrected the aircraft’s path and returned it to the paved surface. No injuries were reported. The plane subsequently taxied normally to its stand, where all passengers disembarked safely. Jet2 attributed the incident to exceptional weather conditions.
