New Delhi, 29 October 2026

Delhi Police have arrested three Nigerian nationals and an Indian associate in connection with an alleged international drug trafficking network operating across Delhi and the National Capital Region. Officers seized a total of 417 grams of MDMA and 105 grams of cocaine, valued at approximately 1.5 crore rupees.

The arrested men have been identified as Nnamdi Osita, also known as Johan Peter, aged 46; Victor Ocaforo, aged 33; Obinna Mike Ernest, aged 32; and their Indian associate Attar Singh, also known as Lucky, aged 23. All four face charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The three Nigerians additionally face immigration charges for remaining in India without valid papers.

The operation was carried out by the Eastern Range of the Delhi Police Crime Branch. On 25 September, officers received information that Osita and his associates were supplying cocaine and MDMA in the area and would make a delivery near Shukar Bazar Road in Chander Vihar. The team intercepted the three Nigerians after they attempted to flee into a nearby building. Searches recovered 55 grams of MDMA from Osita, 301 grams of MDMA from Ocaforo, and 105 grams of cocaine from Ernest.

During questioning, Osita and Ernest identified Singh as a local distributor. Police then arrested Singh at his residence in Meera Kunj, Nilothi, and recovered a further 61 grams of MDMA, bringing the total MDMA seizure to 417 grams.

Investigators found that none of the three Nigerians could produce passports, visas or other documents authorising their stay. Osita is said to have entered India in 2013 on a tourist visa, Ernest in 2016 on a business visa, and Ocaforo in 2020 on a medical visa. All three had overstayed. Police have also noted previous cases involving the Nigerians under the narcotics law in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi and Haryana. A case has been registered and further investigation continues.

The arrests form part of ongoing efforts by Delhi Police to disrupt foreign linked supply chains involved in the wholesale and retail distribution of synthetic drugs in the capital.
