APC Slams ADC Unveiling as Coalition of Hoaxers and Vendetta Merchants

Abuja, FCT – July 3, 2025
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fiercely criticised the recent unveiling of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition, describing it as a gathering of “hoaxers” and “self-obsessed merchants of vendetta” rather than a credible opposition platform. The statement, issued from the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, follows the ADC’s launch on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, which the APC claims fell flat with a “gasping whimper” instead of the anticipated roar.

The APC accused the ADC of being a coalition of politicians driven by selfish interests, desperate to reclaim power through guile and subterfuge. They highlighted the speech by Senator David Mark, whom they described as alleged National Chairman of ADC, as “disgracefully vacant,” lacking substance or purpose, and filled with untruths and baseless allegations against the APC-led administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The ruling party contrasted this with what it described as the transformative impact of its own policies, including a GDP growth rate of 3.4%, external reserves rising from $4 billion in 2023 to $224 billion in 2024, and a reduction in inflation from 31% to 22% in 2025. The APC also pointed to improved living conditions, infrastructure development, and social investment programmes as evidence of its success.
