Abuja, Nigeria – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that Arch. Setonji Koshoedo, the party’s Deputy National Secretary, has officially assumed the role of Acting National Secretary. The appointment, effective immediately, follows a decision by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) during its meeting on Tuesday, 29 April 2025.

Koshoedo took up his new position at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, where he met with management staff on Wednesday morning. In his address, he reaffirmed the NWC’s commitment to unifying, stabilising, and energising the party as it prepares for future challenges.

The PDP has been working to strengthen its internal structures amid ongoing political developments in the country. Koshoedo’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to bolster the party’s leadership and enhance its organisational cohesion.

Further details on the transition and the party’s plans are expected to be shared in the coming days.
