Alhaji Dr. Aliyu Audu, the Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, has tendered his resignation, effective immediately, as announced in a letter dated today. The resignation was addressed to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria through the Chief of Staff to the President at the State House, Abuja.
In his letter, Dr. Audu expressed deep gratitude to the President for the opportunity to serve the nation under his visionary leadership. He also extended thanks to Mr. Ajuri Ngelale, the former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, whose confidence in him led to his nomination on 26th August 2023, subsequently approved by the President on 9th October 2023.
Dr. Audu highlighted the honour of contributing to the public communication efforts of the administration. He concluded by offering his highest esteem and continued prayers for the success of the President’s leadership and the progress of the nation.
The resignation marks a significant development in the President’s office, though no official reason for the departure has been disclosed.
